About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Sat Custom Homes Ltd. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • On-Site Work
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
    • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
  • Support and Training
    • Participate in mentorship programs to support the development of colleagues
    • Contribute to creating a welcoming work environment for diverse groups, including persons with disabilities, newcomers, and veterans
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in the trade is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a typical workweek of 30-40 hours.
