About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman/General Maintenance Associate to join our team at Goodwill of Greater Washington. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations in our facilities.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and other general maintenance activities. You will be required to possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a valid driver's license with a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

* Perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations in our facilities
* Assess the need for supplies or tools and request them from the supervisor as necessary
* Update our computerized maintenance management system in a timely manner as assigned tasks are completed or issues arise
* Track mileage and other reimbursable expenses and submit properly completed expense reports at least once per month
* Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to local building code requirements

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent
* 2-3 years of experience in general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and other general maintenance activities
* Valid driver's license with a clear driving record
* Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently
