Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Manager to lead our production team in optimizing processes and achieving high service levels for our customers.

About the Role

In this critical position, you will be responsible for supporting the Site Director in managing all production-related activities. Your expertise will help identify and optimize production processes to maximize plant profitability.

You will determine appropriate staffing levels and ensure the production site complies with GMP regulations while maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote health and safety consciousness among production employees and provide awareness training where necessary.
  • Evaluate and optimize current production methods and equipment capabilities to meet product demand within estimated time frames.
  • Determine the packaging department's organizational structure for efficient use of production assets.
  • Ensure all operations conform to GMP standards and maintain relevant documentation for control and regulatory purposes.
  • Develop and implement operating and manufacturing standards within a Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Implement solutions to reduce waste, address customer complaints, and improve health and safety.
  • Create a positive working environment encouraging employees to suggest improvements.
  • Review and ensure standard operating procedures are consistent and up-to-date.
  • Institute plans to detect and rectify inefficiencies and promote quality improvements.
  • Help develop the annual budget and perform monthly cost tracking.
  • Coordinate narcotics usage under manufacturing operations and participate in project implementations.
  • Prepare monthly summary reports for the Senior Director – Manufacturing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
  • Experience in Oral Solid Dosage Packaging and increasing responsibility in managing regulated products.
  • Fluent in English and French for supplier and client interactions.
  • Member of a recognized professional association in the field of endeavor.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $80,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
