About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Hongkong House. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 3-4 staff members, including cooks, food and beverage servers, and kitchen and food service helpers.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a high level of service and quality control.
  • Food Service Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Efficient interpersonal skills.
    • Client-focused and a team player.
Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Basic security clearance required.
