Lead Body Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Body Technician to join our team at MacKay's Auto & Custom Limited.
About the JobThis is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the repair of damaged vehicles, estimating repair costs, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. A valid driver's license and excellent communication skills are required.
Responsibilities- Estimate Repair Costs: Inspect damaged vehicles, assess repairs needed, and provide accurate estimates to customers.
- Repair Vehicles: Use specialized tools and equipment to repair or replace body components, doors, frames, and other parts.
- Maintain Work Space: Clean and organize the workspace, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Train and Mentor: Share knowledge and expertise with junior technicians, promoting professional growth and development within the team.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 5 years or more in automotive repair, preferably in a lead or supervisory role.
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and bending/crouching/kneeling. The noise level is moderate to high due to machinery and tools.
