Job Description:

Tech Lead - Reliability (DevOps)

In this role as a Technology Manager - Reliability, you will be responsible for delivering the vision, strategy and overall roadmap for the Reliability Family to deliver meaningful value to the company in conjunction with their strategic and financial goals.

You will engage with various DevOps Teams, such as Operations, Platform and Software Delivery, using Agile best practices and support scrum teams in ensuring the product vision is clear and the work performed meets the criteria laid out. This role will have a healthy balance of business and technical acumen. The Technology Manager will maintain a healthy relationship with their respective customers, and will take ownership of creating the product roadmap, vision, prioritization and user stories where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Make return on investment decisions that support the delivery of business objectives for Site Reliability platforms and practices.
- Analyze information within own scope of influence to find opportunities and validates success against Product KPIs and business targets.
- Act as a Product Owner and publishes and prioritizes epics and stories that meet the needs of the product roadmap for Reliability and our Technology Department.
- Facilitate the ongoing support and maintenance of their product(s)/technologies/ services.
- Partner with cross functional leadership team to co-create an environment of personal leadership and self-efficacy.
- Provide performance and behavioral feedback to team members that facilitates skill and personal development.
- Drive team engagement activities in own team/product and contributes actively to building a culture that aligns to the company's values.
- Identify gaps in our Site Reliability community and disciplines and develops training opportunities to address these gaps.
- Represent the company and the Site Reliability Community of Practice at industry events and conferences and share with the rest of the CoP.
- Act as a technical lead on Reliability Platforms and a practice lead on Site Reliability practices such as Error Budgets, Auto-Healing and SLAs, SLOs, SLIs across Technology.

Requirements:
- 7+ years working in the Information Technology industry.
- 5+ years working in a technical discipline, such as a Software Engineer, Systems Administrator or DevOps Engineer.
- 5+ years working within an Agile environment.
- 3+ years working with Reliability, Monitoring or Logging Technologies.
- 2+ years working as a People Lead for a small team of individual contributors.
- 2+ years working primarily as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an Agile work environment.
- Experience in releasing a product from inception to customers with measurable, meaningful results.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum/Lean methodology.
- Ability to influence and gather support amongst peers, stakeholders and team.

- Technical Certificates within the industry (Microsoft, Red Hat, Cisco, AWS, Reliability etc.)
