About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncologist to join our team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a Radiation Oncologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Qualifications: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required. A strong academic record and relevant certifications are essential.
  • Work Setting: This is a staff position in a hospital setting. We are willing to relocate the right candidate and cover relocation costs.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities are required.
  • Specialization: Radiation oncology is a key area of specialization for this role.
  • Screening Questions: We require candidates to answer the following questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada? Are you willing to relocate for this position? Do you currently reside in proximity to the advertised location? Do you have previous experience in this field of employment? Do you have the above-indicated required certifications? What is the highest level of study you have completed?
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in this field is required. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek and English as the primary language of work.
