Job Summary

A Warehouse Associate II plays a crucial role in meeting operational key performance indicators. This experienced employee has a solid understanding of warehousing terminology and practices. Key responsibilities include unloading, sorting, picking, kitting, packing, shipping, and cycle counts, as well as using PC-based warehouse management systems to track packages, confirm shipments, and perform inventory counts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and receive inbound product according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Put away product in designated locations based on SOPs.
  • Process returns, count and confirm quantities, determine condition, and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Obtain and prioritize orders, selecting products from the correct locations.
  • Verify order accuracy, including product name, size, product code, lot number, expiration date, and quantity.
  • Stage and pack product securely based on SOPs.
  • Coordinate shipment pick-ups, contact carriers for estimated times of arrival, and schedule deliveries.
  • Handle products and perform duties according to client procedures, GMP/SOP, and government/compliance regulations.
  • Palletize cases, wrap, and load skids onto trailers.
  • Generate shipping labels and other necessary paperwork for parcels and LTL skid shipments.
  • Operate various power equipment, including pallet movers, forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.
  • Use RF Scanners to electronically scan barcodes.
  • Enter inventory into the warehouse management system, verify information accuracy, and perform scheduled processes.
  • Conduct physical inventory or cycle counts daily, weekly, and/or monthly based on SOPs.
  • Develop physical inventory plans, monitor physical inventories, identify OS&D (over stock/shortages/damages), and report or correct any errors or discrepancies.
  • Respond to customer/client inquiries, resolve problems, and communicate service issues to the Supervisor.
  • Compile daily and monthly client reports per SOP, including customer KPI reports.
  • Encourage safe work practices in others, point out areas where safety training and enforcement are needed, and participate on the Comprehensive Health & Safety Program (CHSP) committee.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Warehouse experience required.
