We are seeking a highly skilled Second Cook to join our team at DEVONWOOD ENTERPRISES LTD. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Manage kitchen operations

As a Second Cook, you will work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods. You must be physically demanding and able to work under pressure. If you have excellent oral communication skills, are reliable, and a team player, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Work setting: Restaurant
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure
