Chief Information Security Officer

Benevity is seeking a seasoned Chief Information Security Officer to drive the development of our technology platform and ensure the security of our information assets.

As a senior technology leader, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy, and program for information security.

You will lead the security operations team and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and executive leadership to define our enterprise security standards, manage risk, and ensure the successful delivery of secure and scalable products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive information security strategy addressing business needs, including money movement and the protection of user PII
  • Identifying, evaluating, and reporting on information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Communicating risks to executive leadership and the Board
  • Providing leadership and direction to the information security team
  • Overseeing the investigation of security breaches and assisting with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or information security is a plus
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in information security, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven experience in implementing information security strategies
  • Experience managing a team of information security professionals
