We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Metal Shaper to join our team at Coupe Laser Ultra Inc. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and opportunities for growth.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and forming metal stock into parts or products using various machines, including power presses and CNC equipment. They will also ensure accuracy and quality in their work, meet production deadlines, and maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Shape and Form Metal Stock: Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products using power presses and CNC equipment.
- Quality Control: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and other specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Production and Deadlines: Meet production deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and performing routine equipment maintenance.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in mechanical metal shaping or related field.
- Skills and Qualifications: Excellent oral communication skills, judgement, organized, team player, manual dexterity, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, work under pressure, up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Power presses, use computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
- Metal Forming or Shaping Operations Experience: Bending.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000, based on industry standards and location.
