O&B Management Inc is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team.
Job Summary:The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and visitors. This includes investigating outbreaks of diseases and food poisoning, providing information and training to employers and employees, and establishing and implementing policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct regular inspections of workplaces to identify potential hazards and provide guidance on mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement health and safety plans and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and education to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement communication strategies to promote health and safety awareness.
- Conduct performance reviews and evaluations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dental plan.
- Health care plan.
- Permanent position.
- 30 hours per week.
- English language.
