Job Summary
The Boiler Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of boilers and related equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair boilers and related equipment, including wiring, firing, and testing.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with boilers and related equipment.
- Work with electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, transformers, and transmitters.
- Read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Collaborate with other technicians and management to achieve project goals.
- Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements
- Class A Gas ticket.
- Five years' experience in electrical, control, and boiler field.
- Backflow testing certificate is an asset.
- Ability to read and work from schematics.
- Knowledge of boiler controls, including Autoflame, Honeywell, Fireye, and Siemens.
- Strong mechanical and electrical background.
Benefits
Hourly rate of $46.63, determined by UA Local 170 CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through the union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. Overscale may be offered to qualified candidates.
