Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at Health Careers in Saskatchewan. As a key member of our Ambulance - Land department, you will be responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, providing initial assessment, treatment, and transport of ill or injured persons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service
  • Provide initial assessment, treatment, and transport of ill or injured persons
  • Work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Requirements
  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)
  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pre-Hospital Care Program - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Level
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Competencies
  • Basic - Writing skills
  • Basic - Verbal communication skills
  • Basic - Interpersonal skills
Other Information
  • Standard Hours
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
