We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Police Cadets.

Responsibilities
As a Police Cadet, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced officers and participate in various activities, including:
- Patrol duties, where you will accompany designated coaches during uniform patrols;
- Participating in community events, crime prevention initiatives, and special projects;
- Conducting ride-a-longs with assigned training officers;
- Providing assistance with major incidents, including traffic control duties, neighborhood canvassing, and ground searches;
- Performing computer queries and other checks to assist officers as requested.
Requirements
To be successful as a Police Cadet, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Be at least 18 years of age;
- Be of good moral character and habits;
- Mentally able to perform the job;
- Possess a valid driver's license (minimum Class G) with a good driving record;
- Have successfully completed secondary school or the approved equivalent;
- Meet vision standards of uncorrected visual acuity of at least 20/40 binocularly, corrected visual acuity should be at least 20/20 binocularly, with normal color vision and normal hearing standards;
- Possess either a OACP Certificate of Results, or the ability to obtain that certificate during the contract position;
- Possess a good level of fitness;
- Possess a current Standard First Aid certificate and a current CPR certificate (Basic Rescuer Level C).
Bonus Points
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
- Between the ages of 19-25 years old;
- In the last semester of post-secondary education or recently graduated from a post-secondary education.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
