About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Underwriting department, you will be responsible for the overall underwriting of our Property and Casualty line of business.
This includes developing and revising corporate underwriting guidelines, authority, products, and reinsurance protocols. You will work closely with other departments to identify and implement necessary changes to underwriting and pricing guidelines to support corporate objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Underwriting Quality and Risk Appetite: Acts as a contributor and Region/Division contact for P&C Corporate Underwriting for other departments.
- Product Development: Works closely with other Head Office Departments in the development and introduction of new or amended products.
- Underwriting Guidelines: Identifies and implements necessary changes to underwriting and pricing guidelines.
Requirements:
- A strong background in Property and Casualty underwriting.
- University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Strong organizational skills; excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to gather information, analyze critically, and cut through complexity to arrive at workable solutions.
