About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Winter Patroller to join our team at Miller Paving Limited. As a Winter Patroller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our communities during the winter months.

Responsibilities will include performing road maintenance activities on provincial highways, responding to emergency situations such as spills and accidents during inclement weather, and assisting in implementing an emergency plan. You will also be responsible for providing traffic control at accident scenes as per the contract requirements.

In addition to your technical skills, you will be expected to maintain accurate documentation, such as fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service, as well as maintain and clean the equipment, conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs.

Requirements
  • DZ license
  • Experience in snow and ice control along with knowledge of OTM Book 7
  • Knowledge of highway maintenance
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
