Nurse Practitioner

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide person-centered care to oncology patients. The successful candidate will assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care, and administer chemotherapy treatments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments and collect relevant information to inform care decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Administer chemotherapy treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with patients and families to promote health education and self-care.
- Participate in interprofessional care teams to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
- Document patient information and care activities according to practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- BC Cancer Agency Chemotherapy Certification.
- Knowledge of chemotherapy indications, actions, reactions, routes, dosages, and side effects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to promote person-centered care and patient advocacy.
