About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Team Member to join our team at Lake Country Radio Cafe. As a key member of our baking team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Scheduling: Schedule staff to meet the needs of the cafe.
  • Maintenance: Organize and maintain inventory, and operate machinery as needed.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 30-40 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work in a team setting. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a baking or food service environment.
  • Language: English.
