Our schools are teaching communities where principals, vice-principals, teachers and support staff nurture student well-being and challenge students to achieve their best. We are seeking creative, dynamic and committed educators to teach in our Grades 6, 7 & 8 Elementary 2025 Summer Program.
Program Overview
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board operates a Summer School Program for students in grades 6, 7 & 8 during the school year. Teachers will be afforded protection through district policies and procedures pertaining to all aspects of their work, including Health & Safety. The program will be offered in person and virtually.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, applicants must hold qualifications in English and/or Mathematics at the J/I or I/S level with the Ontario College of Teachers and be in good standing at the time of application. Additional Qualifications in Special Education and/or ESL are an asset. Other preferred qualifications include current and relevant classroom experience, teaching experience at the Intermediate level (English and/or Mathematics) using high-yield teaching strategies, and direct co-learning experience(s) with other teachers in effective classroom practices.
