Millwright Specialist

**Job Summary**

AppleOne is seeking a highly skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team. As a Millwright Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of large CNC Horizontal and Vertical Boring Mills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machine tools, including repair, installation, and troubleshooting of large CNC Horizontal and Vertical Boring Mills.
• Examine parts for defects, breakage, or excessive wear, and re-engineer and/or upgrade defective areas as required.
• Study blueprints and manufacturer manuals to determine correct installation procedure and operation of machine tools.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and inspection and tests on machine tools, including alignment tests, ball tests, and squareness tests using electronic levels and lasers.
• Work with original machine tool manufacturers to upgrade or troubleshoot problems or functionality.
• Follow established safety practices and regulations.

**Requirements:**

• Good mechanical aptitude and work ethic.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on call for after-hour work.
• Experience with machine tools or other related equipment.
• Knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens controls is a definite asset.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and CNC controls.
• Previous experience with large machine tools (PAMA, Toshiba, Berthiez, Shiesse) is an asset.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics/electronics is an asset.
• Strong machining skills.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure.
• Ability to read blueprints of electric and hydraulic schematics to diagnose/troubleshoot problems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment.
• Valid driver's license.
