We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Ameri-Can Logistics Ltd. as a Logistics Specialist. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Logistics
    • Drive a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials to various locations
    • Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner
    • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
    • Operate and maintain a tractor-trailer in accordance with company policies and regulations
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Accurately complete and maintain all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, inspection reports, and maintenance records
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
    • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders
  • Teamwork and Safety
    • Work collaboratively with other drivers and transportation team members to ensure smooth operations
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
