Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled EDM Operator to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our machining department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our EDM and CNC machines, ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Modify parts and tools to meet toolmakers' specifications
  • Use precision instruments to plan, inspect, and perform machining operations
  • Maintain and repair machine tools and related equipment
  • Set up and operate EDM machinery for developmental kick press operations
  • Program and draw parts on CAD as required
  • Clean finished pieces and measure for compliance to drawing
  • Perform preventative maintenance and machine repairs as required
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and ensure EDM information is current
Requirements
  • High level of computer knowledge and ability to program EDM machines
  • Ability to program CNC machines preferred
  • Basic machine set-up knowledge and use of measuring tools
  • Excellent working knowledge of machines and blueprint, drawings, and specifications
  • Community college or technical school training or recognized equivalency or certification in a recognized specialty, technical, or trades area
  • Proven problem-solving skills, trouble shooting, and continuous improvement ability
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including rotating and straight days/afternoons, and overtime as required
