We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a tenure-stream position in American Studies at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. The successful candidate will be appointed as an Associate Professor or Professor and will hold the Bissell-Heyd-Associates Chair in American Studies for a five-year term.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including in the Munk School's professional graduate programs
- Conduct innovative and independent research at the highest international level
- Develop and maintain an outstanding, externally funded research program
- Engage with global affairs and policy, with a strong knowledge of the United States
- Ph.D. in social sciences or a humanities field
