Job Summary
The Technician, Plant Maintenance, is a key member of the Maintenance group, responsible for completing work orders and ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing floor equipment. This includes inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance of stirred tanks, pumps, filters, and other processing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs as assigned through work orders.
- Solve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production and facility equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete required documentation.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical breakdowns and seek guidance for complex issues.
- Complete deviation reports in a timely manner.
- Manage contractors to ensure site safety policies are followed.
- Work in a safe manner and collaborate as a team member to achieve outcomes.
- Demonstrate behaviors that exhibit our organizational values: Collaboration, Courage, Perseverance, and Passion.
- Ensure personal adherence with compliance programs, including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program.
Requirements
- High School diploma required; completion of relevant college or trade school courses is an asset.
- Demonstrates competency in basic mechanical repairs, including good dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Basic computer skills to read work orders and track work notifications.
- Ability to diagnose equipment and utility-related problems.
- 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance or mechanical role; experience in the pharmaceutical or food processing industry is an asset.
