Position Overview

The Cloud Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our cloud infrastructure and systems to ensure seamless service delivery. This includes managing the entire infrastructure, applications, and security systems, as well as troubleshooting processes, system upgrades, and monitoring of infrastructure and systems to meet performance, security, and availability targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of our Cloud environments and systems.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of our cloud infrastructure, systems, and services, exceeding our Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and implement procedures for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting cloud systems, including regular maintenance, emergency procedures, and disaster recovery.
  • Collaborate with the development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment of applications and updates.
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources to improve efficiency, exceed Service Levels (SLAs), and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, including SOC2 and other frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the operations and development teams.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Foster the company culture, mission, and values.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in managing IT/Cloud operations.
  • Autonomy to oversee all responsibilities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop and implement cloud security policies and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders – clients, partners, and suppliers.
  • Versatility and ability to adapt to a continuously evolving environment, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge in cloud infrastructure, networks, and web applications/APIs, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and others.
  • Familiarity with security systems and cloud monitoring tools such as Crowdstrike, Sumo Logic, or other SIEM tools.
  • Knowledge of security standards (e.g. SOC 2, ISO 27001).
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
