Job Title: Tax Manager

Baker Tilly REO LLP is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will play a key role in providing exceptional client service and ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and prepare personal tax returns, ensuring all tax-related matters are adequately addressed prior to filing.
  • Provide guidance and support to firm staff on tax knowledge and matters, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Conduct research on tax issues and prepare memoranda to ensure accurate and up-to-date tax information.
  • Participate in special tax engagements, leveraging your expertise to drive results and exceed client expectations.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize client outcomes.
  • Prepare and present technical sessions to firm staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Provide exceptional client service, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to deliver value-added services.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of the Common Final Evaluation (CFE) and/or the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course and/or Master of Taxation Course.
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience with a tax specialty, demonstrating a strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and regulations.
  • Robust technical knowledge of tax-related issues and GAAP requirements for tax provisions.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, and tax research software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Professional manner, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to provide value-added service to clients and understand the importance of a client-focused work environment.
