Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Toronto Textile Recycling. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of supplies and materials between departments, ensuring smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and maintaining accurate records and logs.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient workflow
- Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments to prevent delays and errors
- Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry and report preparation
- Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries
- Coordinate traffic flow of supplies to optimize delivery times and reduce costs
- Compile worksheets and specifications of orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment
- Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner
- Estimate type and quantity of materials and labor required for production, construction, and other projects
- Monitor production progress to ensure timely completion and quality control
- Prepare and maintain progress and other reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement
- Provide customer service to ensure satisfaction and build strong relationships
- Train workers in duties and policies to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure timely completion and quality control
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain inventory levels and prevent stockouts
- Assist with maintenance of communications equipment to ensure reliable communication
- Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders to ensure timely completion and quality control
- Follow-up on issues with work orders to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction
- Keep track of shipments to ensure timely delivery and accuracy
- Maintain vehicle operator work records to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Respond to urgent calls from individuals who require assistance to ensure timely and effective support
- Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment to ensure timely completion and quality control
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate tracking and efficient use of resources
- Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure timely completion and quality control
- Contact customers to deliver requested wake-up calls to ensure timely and effective communication
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
- Permanent employment
- English as the primary language of work
- 37.5 hours per week
