Key Responsibilities

  • Estimate food needs and convert recipes for quantity food production.
  • Ensure high-quality food production, safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless food service operations.
  • Develop and implement food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Conduct inventory and ordering of food and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal and practical training in food preparation from a recognized cooking school.
  • 1-3 years of practical experience in a similar role.
  • Food Handlers Course certification.
  • Journeyman papers (e.g., red seal) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Working Conditions

The Senior Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands. Regular and consistent attendance is essential.
