Job Title: Apprentice Construction Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Construction Electrician to join our team at Shree Electrical Inc. As an Apprentice Construction Electrician, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.

Work Environment

As an Apprentice Construction Electrician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying work conditions, including outdoors, at heights, and in dusty conditions. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities
  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
  • Install underground wiring and cables
  • Splice, join, and connect wires
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and integrity of circuits
  • Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
  • Install power generation, stand-by power generation, and power conditioning systems
  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Commission systems and components
Requirements
  • Working at heights training
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Valid driver's licence
