About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Expert to join our team at A Construction Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality construction projects from start to finish.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and framing, with experience working on commercial and residential construction projects. You will be responsible for estimating labour and material costs, preparing tenders and quotations, and supervising other workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients
  • Supervise other workers on construction sites
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitness and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites
  • Survey building locations and levels
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry and framing
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation
  • 5-10 people supervision experience
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 per year, plus benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing, walking, and handling heavy loads. The successful candidate must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
