- You will develop and manage comprehensive safety programs to protect our employees and the environment;
- Oversee safety training, including operations-specific training like LOTO and crane operation;
- Ensure supervisors receive regular safety updates and training topics for pre-shift meetings;
- Analyze injury/illness data to refine training programs;
- Monitor and report near misses and observations in GDC;
- Identify and address potential hazards and risks within the plant;
- Manage environmental permits and regulatory compliance;
- Collaborate with external agencies and vendors on safety matters;
- Prioritize purchases of safety equipment and supplies;
- Compile and analyze incident reports to improve safety outcomes;
- Support workers' compensation and risk management initiatives;
- Plan and execute annual safety budgets and expenditures;
- Handle property and casualty insurance claims and investigations.
