  • Ensure supervisors receive regular safety updates and training topics for pre-shift meetings;
  • Analyze injury/illness data to refine training programs;
  • Monitor and report near misses and observations in GDC;
  • Identify and address potential hazards and risks within the plant;
  • Manage environmental permits and regulatory compliance;
  • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors on safety matters;
  • Prioritize purchases of safety equipment and supplies;
  • Compile and analyze incident reports to improve safety outcomes;
  • Support workers' compensation and risk management initiatives;
  • Plan and execute annual safety budgets and expenditures;
  • Handle property and casualty insurance claims and investigations.
