Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Repair Mechanic to join our team at ACME Parts and Heavy Equipment Repair Shop. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including welding and metal fabrication
  • Inspect equipment to identify areas of wear and tear, and recommend necessary repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a related field, preferably in heavy equipment repair or welding
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 30-40 hours per week. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, paid vacation time, and opportunities for professional development.
