Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at NS CHAUHAN TRUCKING LTD. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across long distances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our vehicles, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain our vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Emergency Roadside Repairs: Perform emergency repairs on our vehicles as needed, including changing tires and making minor repairs.
  • Pre-Trip, En-Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of our vehicles before, during, and after each trip to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure our vehicles are running efficiently.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and receive updates on cargo and route information.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of our cargo at all times, including tarping and securing loads.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement: Possess a valid Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Driver's License: Hold a valid Class 1 or A Driver's License.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Be familiar with driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
  • Communication Systems Experience: Have experience operating GPS and other navigation equipment.
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Possess experience with long-haul transportation.
  • Security and Safety: Be able to perform driver's validity license checks and driving record checks.
Work Environment

As a Truck Driver with NS CHAUHAN TRUCKING LTD., you will work in a fast-paced transportation environment, often working long hours and traveling across the country. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods.
