**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Systems Coordinator to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our Transit Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our public transit services.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Evaluate transit business and operating strategies to optimize service delivery and ridership growth.
  • Develop and implement new transit facilities and services, as well as transit service changes to meet evolving community needs.
  • Contribute to long-term planning of the transit system, ensuring alignment with city-wide goals and objectives.
  • Assist in preparing annual and long-range capital and operating budgets for the Transit Services department.
  • Analyze and report on current and future ridership, revenue, and other performance metrics to inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop transportation infrastructure and facilities that meet the needs of our diverse community.
  • Coordinate bus operations with the city's management of the road network to ensure seamless travel experiences.

**Requirements:**

  • Degree in geography, urban planning, engineering, operations research, economics, business administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in transit planning or similar roles in a large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of transit planning and scheduling principles, economic concepts, and data analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license (G class) with a clean driving record.

**Estimated Salary:** $68,544.84 - $97,215.30 annually
