Job Title: Restoration Estimator

We are seeking an experienced restoration estimator to join our dynamic team at ServiceMaster Restore Edmonton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for estimating the loss and reconstruction of residential and commercial water, fire, wind, mold, and asbestos restoration projects using Xactimate software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimating the loss and reconstruction of residential and commercial water, fire, wind, mold, and asbestos restoration projects using Xactimate software.
  • Preparing and interpreting sketches for estimating purposes.
  • Working closely with Project Managers and Coordinators to ensure scope of work and uploads are completed in a timely manner.
  • Preparing and maintaining a list of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Preparing estimates by calculating complete scope of work.
  • Maintaining files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures.
  • Reviewing all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quote.
Requirements:
  • Highly organized self-starter who is able to work independently.
  • Patient in working with a diverse clientele.
  • Personable with ability to effectively communicate both in verbal and written form.
  • Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material and labor estimates.
  • Confident in the decision-making process.
  • Able to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and work well under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of various insurance carrier estimating protocols.
  • Effectively working with customers, adjusters, sub-contractors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet all assigned time lines.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused - respond promptly to customer needs.
  • Receptive to change - can adapt to changing circumstances.
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience working as an Estimator and/or Project Manager in the restoration and/or construction industry.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency of Xactimate/Xactanalysis software.
  • Construction knowledge would be considered a definite asset.
