Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at HealthPRO Heritage. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating residents with communication disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate residents to determine the impact of available resident information on the assessment and treatment process.
  • Conduct and document thorough assessments to diagnose communicative deficits and equipment needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on initial evaluations and containing achievable functional goals.
  • Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines, and maintain timely and accurate departmental records.
  • Provide instruction and supervision to aides in accordance with applicable State law.
  • Enter progress notes in resident records following each treatment session.
  • Revise treatment programs as needed based on resident performance.
  • Document the course of treatment in a clear, concise discharge summary utilizing a prescribed format.
  • Orient residents to program services and treatment procedures appropriate to their needs.
  • Work with nursing staff, residents, and families to maximize residents' use of functional abilities.
  • Instruct residents and family/other caregivers about therapeutic procedures to be continued by the resident at home following discharge.
  • Assist in the referral process when a resident requires additional services following discharge.
  • Attend and participate in rehabilitation team conferences regarding resident progress, problems, or needs.
  • Attend and participate in other department/facility meetings as required.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) credential offered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
  • Must maintain valid state Speech Language Pathology licensure.

We offer a competitive salary range of $55-$70 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include Kaiser or BC/BS Medical, Metlife Dental and Vision, 401k, and 24 Days of PTO.
