We are seeking a reliable and caring Child Caregiver to join our team at FMM CAREGIVER. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to children in a family setting.
Job Description:Work Environment:Our ideal candidate will work in a non-smoking environment, with optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. This is not a condition of employment.
Responsibilities:- Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
- Discipline children according to the parents' requested methods.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
- Take children to and from school and to appointments.
- Help children with homework.
- Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
- Availability for shift or on-call work.
- Availability for the advertised start date.
- Legal ability to work in Canada.
- Willingness to relocate for this position.
- Proximity to the advertised location.
- Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- As per collective agreement.

- Does not require Canadian work experience.
- Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Develops and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers.
- Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
- Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers.
- Offers phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
- Offers phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring.
- Provides workspace accommodations to meet the physical needs of mature workers.
- Offers resources to help mature workers plan their retirement.
- Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities.
