Program Head, Health Post Secondary

SIIT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Head to lead our Health Post Secondary program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the coordination and administration of quality adult programs and services for First Nations learners.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and administer health programs and services for First Nations learners
- Manage program operations, including budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation
- Develop and implement program curriculum, including lesson plans and instructional materials
- Recruit, select, and manage instructors and staff
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including First Nations communities, industry partners, and other institutes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and SIIT policies
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as nursing or healthcare administration
- Minimum 5 years of full-time clinical practice experience in medical-surgical, pediatrics/labor and delivery, and/or long term care/residential settings
- Relevant clinical training, practice experience, and ongoing professional development
- Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Post-secondary teaching experience
- Experience working with Indigenous learners
- An understanding of adult learning theories and principles
