Tile Setter

Join Galaxy Homes as a Tile Setter to be part of our skilled trades team. As a key member, you will be responsible for installing and finishing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile coverings in walls, floors, and ceilings. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the quality and precision of our tile installations.

• Tile Installation: Install ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile coverings in walls, floors, and ceilings, following established standards and quality control procedures.
• Adhesive and Grout Application: Mix, apply, and spread adhesives and grouts according to manufacturer instructions and company guidelines.
• Floor and Wall Finishing: Cut, fit, and arrange tiles to ensure a seamless and visually appealing finish.
• Quality Control: Inspect and test tile installations to guarantee quality and meet company standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople and supervisors to ensure efficient project completion and high-quality results.

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation or a related trade.
• Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel, with good hand-eye coordination and color perception.
• Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, excellent oral communication skills, and good judgement.

This role requires working in a fast-paced construction environment with varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels. You must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment, with regular exposure to dust, dirt, and other environmental hazards.
