Grocery Associate Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Grocery Associate to join our team at Healthy Planet. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining attractive store displays, and supporting our regional grocery vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized grocery department, ensuring that inventory levels are up to par and displays are visually appealing.
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and courteous service to customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures, adhering to safe work practices and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner, ensuring that it is in good working condition.
  • Assist management with ordering and inventory control, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that products are rotated regularly.
  • Encourage sales in a manner that ensures quality and effective customer service, working with the team to achieve sales goals.
  • Participate in training and development, staying up-to-date on new products and services, and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of grocery supervisory experience, with a proven track record of success in a retail environment.
  • Energetic, positive, and confident disposition, with the ability to think creatively and quickly.
  • Commit to flexible working hours, including some weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
