Epic Games is a global leader in game development and engine technology, and we're looking for a talented Tools Programmer Intern to join our team. As a Tools Programmer Intern, you'll work on tools and engine components for authoring and rendering terrains within Unreal Engine.

Our team is passionate about creating innovative solutions that empower content developers worldwide. We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, has good communication skills, and the abilities and perseverance to analyze and resolve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve bugs and workflow issues for our internal teams and licensees
  • Work closely with the Terrain team members to modify existing and add new features
  • Debug and test performance critical code on different platforms
  • Have independence in making and owning implementation decisions
  • Be part of an experienced distributed team
Requirements:
  • Strong C++ skills
  • Experience in collaborating with other developers
  • Demonstrated ability in working on graphics tools, e.g. mesh and texture processing
  • Someone who is pragmatic, professional, and has a positive attitude
  • Prior experience with Unreal Engine is a plus, but not required
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
