Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team in the electrical panel shop. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in assembling electrical panels for large commercial clients, performing general labor tasks, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in assembling electrical panels for large commercial clients, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform general labor tasks in the panel shop, including material handling and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area, adhering to company safety standards and regulations.
- Drive to suppliers to pick-up parts and materials, and deliver to jobsites in the Edmonton area.
- Assist Journeyperson electricians in the panel shop and on jobsites, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Participate in all safety programming, including weekly safety meetings, hazard identification, and incident reporting and investigation.
Requirements:
- Active interest in an electrician apprenticeship.
- Completion of grade 12 education.
- Valid class 5 driver's license and clean drivers abstract.
- Completion of CSTS training or other safety training is an asset.
- Previous experience working in the construction industry is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Shop environment.
- Construction worksites.
- Overnight and out of town work may be required from time to time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs consistently.
- Frequent bending, crawling, and other movements.
Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with 40 hours of work guaranteed. Although, hours of work may vary depending upon project requirements, including overtime, evenings, and weekends.
