About the Role
The Legal Advisor will be responsible for ensuring the necessary follow-up of legal commitments before and after the closing of financing, acquisition, and development projects in the field of renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and revise commercial contracts related to renewable energy projects.
- Coordinate and manage the legal aspects of setting up and monitoring community or financial partnerships in close collaboration with the project development team.
- Assist and advise all business units on all legal aspects of the Corporation's activities.
- Manage litigation files related to renewable energy projects.
Requirements
- Member of the Bar of Quebec or another Canadian province.
- Member of the bar of an American state, an asset.
- Relevant experience in financing, acquiring, or developing renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Autonomous, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
- High integrity and ethical working standards.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is required to ensure collaboration with different stakeholders outside of Québec on a regular basis.
Additional Information
- The position is based in the company's Longueuil (Quebec) headquarters, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.
- This position is an P3 level.
