As a key member of the Aspira Kensington Place Retirement Living management team, the Director of Wellness and Care Services will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care and support for our residents. This dynamic leadership position offers the opportunity to engage with a clinical team, provide compassionate care, and foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a clinical team to provide care support and services to residents
- Develop and implement service plans of care, determine corresponding care fees, and manage team member requirements
- Monitor resident incidents, direct team members on interventions to prevent reoccurrence, and evaluate nursing and related services to ensure quality of resident care
- Recruit, select, orient, develop, schedule, and perform performance management of Guest Attendants, Unregulated Care Providers, and Registered Practical Nurses
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with hospital team members and home and community care partners
- Participate in marketing outreach, presentations on wellness services, and interview prospective residents
- Prepare and administer the department budget within established parameters
- Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with a minimum three years' experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation, and/or senior health industry
- Exceptional management skills with a demonstrated track record of delivering results and continuously improving performance
- Good judgment, ability to identify risk, and foster a positive work environment
- Strong technology skills in Microsoft Office suite programs
