Job Summary

CHUKWUYENUM SAMUEL MENE is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home Childcare Provider to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Shop for food and household supplies to ensure a well-stocked pantry and fridge.
  • Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens to keep the household tidy.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, promoting positive behavior and development.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, helping them become confident and capable individuals.
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring children receive a balanced diet.
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods, establishing a soothing and calming environment.
  • Supervise and care for children, providing individualized attention and support.
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, providing a listening ear and a comforting presence.
  • Help children with homework, promoting their academic success and development.
  • Cook and prepare meals for the family, ensuring a well-stocked pantry and fridge.
  • Administer bedside and personal care, assisting with daily living tasks.
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting their dignity and well-being.Requirements
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
    • Availability for shift or on-call work, as well as the advertised start date.
    • Current legal ability to work in Canada.
    • Willingness to relocate for this position.
    • Residency in proximity to the advertised location.
    • Previous experience in childcare or a related field.
    • Required certifications, as indicated.
    • Highest level of study completed.
