Job Title: Intermediate Technology Specialist, Quality Assurance
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Technology Specialist, Quality Assurance to join our team at Equitable Life of Canada. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications and systems. This is a hybrid role that requires a strong understanding of software testing practices, tools, and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and optimize new and existing automation frameworks.
- Create and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Perform automated and manual testing.
- Lead and assist with test analysis and participate in technical analysis meetings.
- Identify and document defects until resolution.
- Work on production support tickets to ensure their resolution and meet business partner requirements.
- Effectively communicate and explain defects to team members and assist in bug fixes.
- Provide technical guidance to peers and end-users regarding technologies that enable continuous delivery of shared solutions.
- Assist in the maintenance of existing internal processes and quality system management documentation to uphold quality standards.
- Inspect systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvements to workflow and enhanced efficiencies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, college diploma, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience with software testing practices, including test planning, test execution, and defect tracking.
- 2 years of experience in test automation.
- Sound knowledge of QA practices, tools, methodology, and processes.
- Relevant experience with testing tools such as Azure DevOps and automation tools such as Selenium, N-Unit, JMeter, TestComplete, Ready API, etc.
- Experience with Test Management tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of web service testing tools such as SoapUI, Postman.
- Strong knowledge of C#, JavaScript.
- Experience with XML file manipulation, SQL, and GITHUB.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative.
- Awareness and understanding of cultural diversity.
- Experience in Agile and knowledge of CI/CD will be an asset.
- Have or working towards QA Certification considered an asset.
