About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at The Story Cafe - Eatery & Bar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare menus, estimating food requirements for successful execution
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation
  • Accommodate customers with dietary restrictions by preparing special dishes
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed, managing inventory and records
  • Ensure kitchen and work areas are clean and well-maintained
Work Environment

As a Kitchen Assistant at The Story Cafe - Eatery & Bar, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and teamwork. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Own transportation
