My Dream Home Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Tile Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for installing and finishing tile surfaces in residential and commercial settings.

Job Summary

This is a permanent position requiring 1-2 years of experience in tile installation, excellent English language proficiency, and a secondary school diploma. You will work 32-35 hours per week in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Surfaces: Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free of debris before commencing tile installation.
  • Mix and Apply Adhesives: Mix and apply adhesives according to manufacturer instructions to ensure a strong bond between tiles and substrates.
  • Install and Align Tiles: Install and align tiles to achieve a precise fit and finish.
  • Cut and Fit Tiles: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles, such as pipes, electrical outlets, and corners.
  • Instruct Apprentices: Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices on best practices and safety procedures.
  • Pack and Remove Grout: Pack and remove grout from joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Remove and Replace Damaged Tiles: Remove and replace damaged tiles to maintain a high-quality finish.
  • Supervise Workers: Supervise workers to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Lay Mosaic Tiles: Lay mosaic tiles to create intricate designs and patterns.
  • Install Underbeds and Hardware: Install underbeds and hardware to complete the installation process.
Work Conditions

This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination. You will be working in a dusty and noisy environment, handling heavy loads, bending, kneeling, and lifting.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have steel-toed safety boots and excellent communication skills.
