We are seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to join our team at the City of North Bay's Infrastructure and Operations Division.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel transit buses, fire trucks, and diesel trucks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex automotive issues using advanced electronics and computer systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance using a fleet management system.
- Collaborate with the Fleet Supervisor to ensure compliance with Provincial safety legislations and Ministry of Transportation safety and roadworthiness requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Grade 12 education or equivalency.
- Valid Ontario Class "310T" Truck and Coach License and 3-year apprenticeship program through Skilled Trades Ontario.
- 2 years of working experience as a 310T.
- Demonstrated knowledge of repair of small motors and two-cycle engines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced automotive electronics and computer control systems.
- Valid Ontario Class D Driver's License with a "Z" endorsement or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
- Competitive hourly rate of $33.05 per hour, plus applicable shift premiums.
